![]() Greetings,
I just purchased a 2009 Gas Club Car Precedent and would like to wire it to start and run with a key switch instead of using the gas pedal switch. Any assistance on this modification would be appreciated. Thanks! Trent |

![]() There is a thread in clone engine swap called "wiring ignition to turn off engine". It worked for me very well. Not sure if the precedent is the same though.

![]() Lift up the rubber floor mat. Lift up the plate that covers the wiring in front of the gas pedal. There are 5 wires running from the 2 microswitches inside the pedal assy. Clip the black/white wire. Tape off the ends. Turn up the idle screw on the carb a touch. Everything works flawless. Turn on key and step on gas to move. Turn off key to shut off.
