Yeah I thought about that last night. I may just go ahead and get a piece of steel plate cut out to mount the switch in and then mount the switch to the body. That will give me plenty of clearance. The other thing I thought of was heat. If the terminals build up a lot of heat they melt the battery pack just a little where thye touch. There is probably only an area the size of a bb where they touch.

Where can I order this motors? They look well made. Can I use this with my stock controller and solenoid or would I need to upgrade? Thanks!

EMP - http://www.empinc.biz/motors.php

A buddy of mine did this install in his Marathon. We were lucky that his batteries were stacked under the seat with a space in the middle rather than one side like your TXT.

Worked pretty slick though. He picked up like 4 or 5 mph & quite a bit of torque.

Got the new EMP installed! That baby registered 21 mph on the GPS!! Getcha some of that!!!!

I am going to modify the switch kit so it clears the battery. I zam going to leave it in the same spot, just trim down the posts that the bolts go through about 3/8". That will give me enough clearance to completely clear the battery and not cause any binding in the switch.
