G29 MAC charger receptacle
Why is a receptacle for the 48V MAC charger so ridiculously expensive? It would be far cheaper to change both the plug and receptacle with an old fashioned crows foot setup. Is there any reason not to just do it that way?
Thanks, TJ |

Re: G29 MAC charger receptacle
Its not only for MAC charger, but all yamaha 48v chargers. And, yes its expensive. Just the pins in the handle alone are $7 each. While you could change it to a crow-foot, then you would have to change the dc cord on the charger too, have you priced those ($$$)?

Re: G29 MAC charger receptacle
Yeah, and for the cost of the MAC receptacle I can get a crows foot plug, and a receptacle, and a case of beer, and still have some change. The ONLY benefit I see to using the MAC receptacle is that I will still have flexibility regarding which of my 2 chargers I use on which of my 2 carts.
