Default 1997 DCS Wont Go

Friend started adding lights to his DCS cart 36v and looks like he shorted across some wires trying to find power now cart wont move. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He touched across the big lugs on controller also. He finally found power and blew all his lights up.

Have 40v to solenoid but nothing coming out when gas pedal is pressed.

I mainly work on gas carts for this reason..

Check to see if you have pack positive on the red wire coming out of the charge port as well as the white wire.

I will re assemble it and check. Is there a inline fuse somewhere? He said cart was running fine but after he started touching wires almost makes me think he may have blown a fuse??

thanks

There might be a fuse but would be a big one.

May have just found the problem. Reed Switch was blown so I am going to put it all back together and see. Will post results when I can

Just as a side note, there was no '04 DCS built. DCS came on the scene in 1995 and was produced until 2000 when it was replaced by the new PDS.

Yes pack 39.3v at charger port. Found bad reed switch and replaced but now as soon as you turn on the run switch the reverse buzzer sounds in both forward and reverse and neutral.

Switched to forward and turned on run switch with buzzer sounding and hit accelerator and the tires barely turned??

Does the batt side of solenoid have to be to the batt cable +?

I seen where it was backwards but wasn't sure if this would matter
