'92 stops pulling in forward
We are very new to golf carts and we have redone everything but the running works bc we thought it ran fine. Cart has 1yr old batteries that hold charge very well, so we know it cant be that, but when you go forward it goes fast then will die down to only like 10mph and sometimes not all times it will just stop pulling and we have to let off the gas and then once pushed again it will go forward again, up hills the cart will barely pull and sometimes just die completely. Reverse works great faster than forward even. Bad thing is we leave for the beach Thursday and need to know what we might need and any help getting us started is greatly appreciated :-)

Re: '92 stops pulling in forward
You are describing a battery problem, it is possible one bad cell could cause loss of power uphill, letting it sit a few minutes allows a surface charge to return and so you can go again?

Ok thank you....could that be whats happening on flat surface also, which is why you have to let off the gas and then ease back into it!?

Re: '92 stops pulling in forward
I can't be sure from here I would have to either find a bad battery or eliminate a potentiometer or cable problem to be sure. Just because you are running, likely the problem is not in controller, solenoid, or micro-switches. .. If you do not have a DVM, get one and , connect it to the pack so you can watch the 36v pack voltage as you drive. the pack should read 36-38v. Any drop below 33 is unusual on a good charge. .. & under 30v is a red flag... try this up hill.

Re: '92 stops pulling in forward
Ok we will do that....we have checked them without it running on each individual battery and they all read 6.4 but will definitely do what you said and see.
