Funny Looking G21A
First post, new to the hobby. I figured it was time to get yet another hobby & have been looking for a nice golf cart to tinker with. I found this little gem for $1,800 off craigslist yesterday & jumped on it. I was amazed how effortlessly it ran in the cold. It was about 15 degrees outside & the cart was sitting on the side of the house & had obviously not moved in some time. It ended up firing up & running after a small shot of choke.
I was a little stumped when I started the cross reference on the cart though. The serial number JR6-2... implies it is a 2002 G21A Yamahauler. Funny thing though, it is a regular cart rear, not a hauler. Obviously it has been modified beyond just the lift kit. My question is for future modifications. I am not sure what front & rear I have now to get some lights, skins, windshield, etc. What is logical here? 1.) The previous, previous owner swapped out the rear with a standard cart & threw out the dump bed. 2.) The previous, previous owner took two carts & moved parts around to build this, and I have a mixture of cart shell, basic frame & gas engine. 3.) I will never know. Thanks for the advice & I can't wait to start to dump good money chasing this one! Chris |

Re: Funny Looking G21A
Welcom to BGW Did you get the # jr6-2***** of the engine? The serial # for your car would be to the left of the steering colum, inbetween the rubber cowel trim and the storage compartment. Should start with JU0-******. Your the proud owner of a G22-A. And looks to have a "Jakes" 6" spindle lift.

Re: Funny Looking G21A
Thanks, I will go and see if there is a serial number there to read. Don't get my post as moaning, I stole this thing for $1,800! I couldn't get out of there fast enough with the cart.
Good eye on the lift, it is a Jakes spindle lift. |

The original serial number came off the passenger side engine sticker, see picture. You are right though, only engine specs. |
