Default Torque kit question?

Could someone tell me what the spacer with the set screw is on the shaft? and do i remove this to install cpp spring? dont see this on the parts drawings that i have. and i dont see a c-clip. what does it look like? thanks.

Looks like someone made there own spacer to replace the circlip. . I would take that collar off and use the splined spacer from the kit.

Wow, yes, I agree with Dave. Some definitely made there own spacer. Looks like it is setting up against the bearing/seal too. Take that off and throw as far as you can and install the one from the kit.
