The plates are stock extras.
Hey they do have holes I could have swore when I pull them apart a few hours ago I didn't see them.

They are there now, maybe the hole fairy put them in when I wasn't looking It could be the 36 degree sun frying my brain or maybe it's time for an eye check.

Speaking of checking ezgo quoted me $7.50 a plate so it's not work the time and swearing to try and make a set.

Scottyb is there any reason I could not put my shock extensions on the top mount to hide them better? As my cart is in a 1000 pieces thought I would ask.

Thanks Aussie

Makes no difference which end you put the extension on ...looks like we put them on the bottom for convenience .... you will need the spindle extensions if you don't have the St spindles...

I have ST sport on my spindles you should be able to make them out in my photos I posted.

So looks like I am all set, I borrowed the plates off my 2001 WH bead blasted them and painted, I ordered 4 so they can go on later whe they arrive. Will 2 inch shock extenders be ok ? any other things I should know or do, front wheels off tie rods disconected, shocks unbolted.

Will start on the weekend

Thanks

Sounds like you are on your way to a $20 front lift (get some hardened bolts) I didn't disconnect the tire rods on the last one just unbolted shocks and springs and the axle pulled forward and down and re mounted underneath like it was made for it

On your 10" wheels the offset will make all the difference in the world, actually putting the tire further out away from the spring which is good...
Sounds like I will be in great shape.

If I move the springs to the top in front as you've shown, will it be level if I move the back springs to the top of the axle basically the same way?

Reminding myself that the last time I said, no guts no glory, we spent quite a bit of time digging out my 4 wheeler. Would it be possible to use a 1 inch tall by 3 inch wide heavy steel box to put the spring 1 inch over the axle? I'm guessing weakness will be the main issue here.

I dunno? Maybe if you could post pictures of what you have in mind I could get a better understanding of what all is involved. But, it is beginning to sound like you need a lift kit.

Yeah no sense getting greedy, I'll be happy with the couple inches I get over the axle. Plus as they say it's best to keep it simple.

Can't wait to get started. Just need a couple plates and some pipe.

I take it grade 8 bolts would be the best.

im gona throw in my half cent. i did try to remount my leafs on top of my factory axle lift which worked out just fine. but, i had the st spindles. the steering risers will not fit on those spindles. i tried that too. i had to find a set of stock txt spindles and use the risers for it to work. but i lucked up and got a jakes 5" lift from a guy on here for $150.
