Re: My Golf Cart Adventures in Modding
Here are some pics of the custom front suspension that I started last year
i have to just finish making the upper a-arms and make the spindle posts and a few other small things i did not use any plans for this i just looked at a pic of stretch plastic's design this will be going on the 1989 marathon, since all the measurements i used were from that cart as an added bonus i have made this suspension so that it is bolt-on and if i ever want to put original back on i can so anyways heres some pics here is were it bolts to were the leaf springs normally would |

Re: My Golf Cart Adventures in Modding
The strech lift uses a second mounting point out front at the upper shock mount holes. Will you do something similar?

Yes I'm going to mount it to this metal plate on the front
The pics I take this weekend will be able to explain it better |

Re: My Golf Cart Adventures in Modding
hey got up to my cabin today and i got the suspension mocked up.
1st i tried to install it on the 84 marathon but the bolt hole were off by about 3/8" , and that made me think that i welded it together wrong so i pulled the front suspension on the 89 marathon and sure enough the bolt holes lined up absolutely perfect, also when i tried it on the 84 the steering column bottom brace was in the way so i cut it off. anyways heres some pic's of it mocked up on the 89 marathon |
