1992 Marathon not starting

I was given a 92 Marathon that was supposedly running when it was parked about a year ago. I put new battery, plugs and filters in and it turns over but won't start. The solenoid is clicking but the plugs either fire erratically or not at all. To me, the plug wires seem very loose, as in easliy pulled out of the coil. Thanks for the help. Ive got common sense but certainly not a mechanic.

Hi mnunnery, Welcome to BGW, If it is getting gas and firing, think I would check the valves, it won't hurt to check them even if thats not the problem. link below, good luck
