New G8 Owner
Greetings Just got my first cart. Owner said it was a 1996, but the serial number says JF2-301xxx so I guess it is a 1993 G8 Runs a bit rough and hesitates some. I'll be going into the carb. Air cleaner is new. Other than change the oil and differential lube, any other suggestions to get it up to speed. Just looking for reliable transportation down at the lake. Thanks

Re: New G8 Owner
Air box not sealed is the usual cause of bad running. But old gas, or dirty carb can also do this. There is a plastic manifold spacer between the carb and the head that can crack, and cause problems as well. If you do take that off, I'd replace the gaskets with new there. Old ones will be hard, new ones will be soft and seal with less torque.

We like pic's so after you post at least 3 times you will be able to post them if you have them. Like Mike said make sure the air box is sealed very very well.
