G16 steering squirley
Got a 99 g16 gas. It has a 4" Eco lift on it with 20" tires. This thing gets squirely going down the road at 20 mph +. Steering feels tight but it's not safe to go fast. Any ideas what's wrong

Re: G16 steering squirley
Yes. It's your suspension is loose. What front shocks do you have? Stock? If so, your shocks may be wearing out. I've been battling that on mine for months. I found the stiffer the front and rear shocks you put on, the better control you have. Watch this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZRyl0COfXY
Of course this was to the extreme, but as I came across the cattle guard steering was out of control. This was running Honda 400ex front shocks which are way too soft. Problem was resolved by using much stiffer shocks. You may check for cart roll. If you grab the cart shake it side to side. If it's easy to do this, you need stiffer shocks. The other way to solve is to get Jakes A-arm lift and dump the cheap lift kit. |

Re: G16 steering squirley
Check all the steering parts to make sure they are tight, same with suspension brackets.Check the tire alignment,if the front of the tires are farther apart than the rear of the tire(toe-out),it will wander bad. Also G16,tend to sway when lifted, due to the single-point mount on the swingarm. If all else is good,I have a swaybar kit to eliminate this.Hope this helps.

Mike---do you happen to also fabricate a sway bar for EZGO? I have a 95 medalist electric that could really use something for better control.
