Prime the fuel line going to the filter, and fill the carb bowl with fuel. The pump is not strong enough to self-prime.

What year is your G1? What compression does it have (at wide open throttle)? Do you see any sighns of oil/dirt/grime behind the primary clutch or under the fan shrouding on the passangerside?

I don't own a compression gauge, When I replaced plug I did old finger over hole test and it blew it off, I,ll have to see if anyone around here has compression gauge. Cart ran fine last year 1st owner says till he tried it this year and nothing, i found blowin fuse near solenoid. No dirt around shroud, have to check other tom. Man gave me receipt for rebuilt carb last year, says only problem he,s had he says. All I know as I just got it from him,[org. owner]I picked it up just for ride around back 40,wifes tired of me stealing her G19.Thanks

You can "borrow" a compression gauge from your local Autozone or Advance Auto. If you have good compression (say 100psi or more), and you have fuel getting to the carb, and you have spark at the plug.....it should run. There is a possibility it could be out of time if the ignition is bad.

Thanks, I live in small town in Ga. Nearest auto place 35 miles from me, but will do if need be. I,m getting no fuel to carb. i,ll try charging fuel lines like suggested above and go from there. I,da thought pump would have pulled fuel from tank ,but gent replied above it wouldnt. Fixen to go to shop in few and start again. Thanks for info on auto zone.
