Pedal Switch Question
Hi all. I’ve got my 07 TXT down to the frame to patch some rust and opened the pedal switch. It’s making a clicking sound when it contacts the micro switch but isn’t touching it at all. It was working fine when I parked it yesterday. Is this the way it’s supposed to look?

Re: Pedal Switch Question
Nope, the switch with the arm & roller wheel is totally mangled.

Re: Pedal Switch Question
I think I got it. I ordered a new one just in case but this seems to be good for now.

Re: Pedal Switch Question
That happened to me. The wheel on the microswitch is suppose to rest on the biggest part of the plunger. My plunger went back too far and the wheel went in front of it. Then , when I pressed the pedal, it bent the whole thing around. The good news is, it puts the switch in the on position to power the solenoid and the cart will still run. The bad part of that is. it will keep constant power to the solenoid unless the key is off.
Most plungers have have an adjustment to set that properly. Mine didnt, so, I put a spacer made from a nylon washer behind it to keep it from going too far back. |
