Short Between Two Terminals on 36V Motor
While replacing the rubber bushings on the rear shocks of my 2001 EZGO TXT 36V PDS cart, I accidentally dropped one of the retainer washers onto the motor and with terrible luck it made a perfect contact between the A2 and F2 lugs. In a rookie move since I was not working on the electric the cart was switched on and the switch was in the forward position. Now the cart will not move. I have tested the solenoid and even replaced the solenoid. There was a slight electric burn smell inside the cover on the controller when I took that off. I also cleaned up the small burn on the F2 motor lug caused by this contact. Solenoid clicks when the pedal is pressed and appears to be operable per all the tests. I would assume this means it zapped my controller? Controller is the Curtis P/N 73326G02. Not sure where to go from here and if I should replace the controller? Hoping this didn't damage the engine as well. Any help is appreciated as I am not finding much online with regards to this issue.

Re: Short Between Two Terminals on 36V Motor
Put controller into diagnostic mode and listen for beeped error codes.
How to get into diagnostic mode is in the text at the bottom of attached label along with the error code meanings. Also, does solenoid click when pedal is pushed? -------------- If controller is bad, replace it with an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS user programmable controller |
