'92 Marathon fuel line Questions...
Can someone tell me if the fuel line on a '92 2-stroke Marathon is 1/4" I.D.? What is on it seems to be a larger inner diameter.
Also, there is a metal "cannister" in my fuel line between the tank and the fuel filter. I have tried(poorly) to show it in the picture attachment. Can someone tell me what it is. Thanks |

From the pic, it looks like an old car fuel filter.

Re: '92 Marathon fuel line Questions...
That's what I thought. Isn't the fuel line supposed to be 1/4" inside diameter also. This looks like it is 5/16". The replacement marathon fuel lines I find are 1/4". Will someone confirm this is correct.
Thanks in advance, and thx sccowboy |

Re: '92 Marathon fuel line Questions...
If you are wanting to replace the lines then I would rip out whatever that can thing is and get rid of it. Then I would get a good quality filter and just take the old line to the auto parts shack and match it up with the correct size. I use medium zip ties to secure my lines but you can use hose clamps if you want. Your 92 is a 2 stroke right?? so I would eliminate the oil injector and run approx 100:1 mix in the gas tank.

Ok,
Will ditch the metal thing. Already converted to gas/oil mix and ditched the oil injector. Please see my new thread for a different/related question, and thx again sccowboy |
