Default Carb / governor

I just installed a new engine in my 97 EZ GO. Took out a 295CC and replaced it with same exact engine. With the cart in neutral the engine will rev up and the governor kicks in... My problem is when driving the cart it seems very slugish, and is not responsive when giving it the gas. My cart would run about 20 miles per hour with old engine, now only does about 8 to 10.

All linkage was kept the same throughout the swap... any ideas on how to get my torque and speed back up to what it was?

Default Re: Carb / governor

Sounds like you need to double check your governor adjustment. Look in the tech thread for the correct procedure.
