Default Help>>identify my kart.

Hey fellas,
Can someone give me a hint as to what year/model this kart is and where to find the serial #. Just brought it home today.

Thanks
Pat

Its hard to tell if its a G2 or a G9 because it has an aftermarket steering wheel.

OK--Thanks for all the info guys. I found the number stamped into frame under the rear bumper so I assume it is an 87 G2. I am still trying to find the engine number to determine engine size. The engine number is difficult to see but it looks like 069523. No dash anywhere. Any thoughts??

Thanks Everyone! Now--time to start looking for a lift kit, wheels and tires. Any suggestions?

Pat

I would recommend for a lift kit the third one down on this page. Part number ASM-Y29.

I would recommend ripping the stock muffler off ASAP

lift kits in order of price and strength

cheap 4" lift $120
http://cgi.ebay.com/4-LIFT-KIT-FOR-Y...3286.m20.l1116
all sports 7" dual a arm $320
http://cgi.ebay.com/YAMAHA-Golf-Cart...3286.m20.l1116
jakes 6 inch single a arm $300
http://cgi.ebay.com/JAKES-YAMAHA-GOL...3286.m20.l1116
jakes long travel $630
http://cgi.ebay.com/Yamaha-Golf-Cart...3286.m20.l1116

carts plus tires and 7" dual a-arm Tom will swap the lift to the jakes long travel for another $300 or so more.
