Thanks for all of the responses - as mentioned before, I decided to remove the old seat covers. Here's the final product.

When I got my cart, it had a custom seat cover on it with bolsters. I had to have it recovered by a pro.

I did the same as ours was an old farm cart and i wanted to be sure the foam wasn't home to nay creatures. It appears that we used the same covers. Nice look!

Lazy Life Seats did mine. I watched the install. They put a piece of foam over the old seat cover and stapled the new cover on. They used a finish strip on the seat back to hide the staples. I put a molded seat back cover on it when I installed my Outback Fabricators Big Buck Rack (big plug) on the cart. Seats look great and are very comfortable

Steve I have used ther product alot on the boats i've run, and it is a good product. Stain resistant, somewhat waterproof, fade resistant, too. But I have never used the product for seating, mostly for aft shades, and table covers.

Marine vinyl is great golf cart seat material. Install difficulty increases with fabric weight. 4.5 oz is easy to pull and stretch for a perfect fit. 6oz will wear like iron but is much harder to work with when it comes to corners, etc. A pneumatic or electric stapler is recommended
