96 DS 48v
I need some direction folks with an electric club car. Its a 96 48v ds. It ran fine for a long time but just prior to it taking a crap for good there was a time where it didn't take off right away but for lack of a better word pumped the pedal it would take off then eventually nothing which is where we are at at the moment. The cart belongs to a good friend who dropped it off yesterday, I am a gas club cart guy but I said I would give it a shot. What I know so far the cart spent last night on the charger, each battery is carrying 8 volts. I am at the moment leaning towards the solenoid because I hear nothing, I do hear what sounds like a micro switch when the gas pedal is depressed. This is an unmolested club car bone stock. Like I said I need some direction as I am in uncharted territory

Re: 96 DS 48v
Sounds like throttle circuit not activating solenoid.

Re: 96 DS 48v
Check voltage at solenoid activation wires. May be a bad switch in throttle.

Re: 96 DS 48v
I believe all connections are tight. How much voltage should come into the battery side of the solenoid?(its a 48V cart) Which control wire on the solenoid should I be testing? what am I looking for Voltages wise? when I press the accelerator or not? I'm green as grass on these electric carts. Can someone give me a link for a wiring diagram ser A9626506776.
I appreciate all the help folks I'm listening and trying to follow just tell me what to do |

Your wiring diagram should be in the Stickys.

Re: 96 DS 48v
I know exactly what you need to do. Get a multimeter, a jumper wire about 3 feet long with alligator clips on both ends, and a cell phone. Dial 706-836-7210 tomorrow morning and call me. We will most definitely find the problem.

Re: 96 DS 48v
Think we've found the problem. He called me and we ran some tests. No voltage to solenoid. Found broken red wire at #1 battery positive.
