I've noticed this about mine too, it does run while charging and I don't remember it doing that a while back ...

I'm assuming this is on a 48 volt system. If it's not a 48 volt system, disregard my message and let me know what you're working with so I can give a more accurate response.

If it's 48volt...

The charger will work whether the key is on or off. This doesn't have an effect on charging. If the cart will run while the charger is plugged in then you've either got a bad on board computer, a blown 3/8 amp fuse in the yellow fuse holder behind the charger receptacle, or a bad connection.

Yes it is a 48 volt. I will check to see if it will run while charging when I get back to my lease next weekend. Thank you for the responses.

Will not run with key on and charger plugged in but it will charge with key on.

That's perfectly normal. Keyswitch position has nothing to do with charging.

Yep like Dave said it's normal. Mine does the same. Sometimes I switch the key on while charging so the led battery meter will come on so I can see where the charge is volt wise....
