I get the click with gas pedal, but doesn't engage for forward or reverse. Does that indicate the solenoid may be out? thanks.

No, Can you verify with a voltmeter that power is going in and out of the large terminals on the solenoid.

I hope you have the cart on jack stands as it may take off on you if you "fix" it.

I was hoping this thread would keep going.. I have very similar issue. .. Just this cart and when I push in the pedal in either reverse or forward it makes a loud rapid clicking sound.. sounds like from solenoid. I have charged the cart for over 5 hours so I have no idea what it can be. Unless something is wired wrong or solenoid is off. I do have power coming from the solenoid main 2 terminals as we speak.. maybe it needs more charging?? since it was completely dead??

5 hr is not enough of a charge ..dead batteries will take 16hrs + to charge
what is the pack voltage ? (all 6 batteries together )
rapid clicking of solenoid is a sign it may not have enough volts to engage
