Intermittent missing while under way
HI new to the forum, need help with a 90 club car 36v, has the v-glide and curtis controller. The cart will miss while under way, however this does not happen all the time. The selonoid was just replaced because the cart had stopped running, this corrected that problem. Have checked the voltage on all the batteries and they are good. Any thoughts ?

Re: Intermittent missing while under way
Welcome. Could be a bad v-glide. Possible loose connection if this started after you replaced solenoid.

Re: Intermittent missing while under way
Connections are tight, and did take the cover off the v-glide and cleaned the brush contacts. wouldn't that affect the cart in reverse also if it was the v-glide?

Did you adjust the wiper switch? Make sure that thing is sitting flat on the contacts.

Thats problably where your trouble is. I just took mine off and got something new. I hated that thing. If you ever beef up that cart, your gonna hate it.

Re: Intermittent missing while under way
I did not adjust the wiper switch, and your right I did notice the contact was not flush all the way across. Will try to adjust that. What is the alternative to the v-glide? Thank you for helping in this matter.

Re: Intermittent missing while under way
Several tips, check the wiper brush switch spring #1013998 as it gets weak over time and when abused by heat will not push against contacts correctly. While checking spring check wiper arm shaft Bushing for wear # 1012903.
I once ran into similar problem with later model V Glide used with a solid state controller with small electronic resistors under rear cover that was cracked and wouldnt make contact all the time? The 5 Resistors are # 101826901 to #101826904 and one #1016015. |
