Can you give us your serial #? That may clear up the "supposedly" and then we can go from there.

Can you see if motor has A-1 and A-2, F-1 and F-2 posts? A cart that old could have almost anything for conversion or adaption parts even to the point of being converted to a IQ used since 2001? Also is your solid state controller a Curtis brand or maybe another brand like Alltrax that would require a loom adapter similar to what Langstonjones shows depending on controller manufacturer?

A 1998 cart is not a REGEN2 it would be a REGEN1. REGEN2 were made from 99-01.

It looks like what you have is an adapter to go from the old REGEN1 controller harness to the REGEN2 controller.

After much researching it looks like the club car part number is 102225501, found it in one place.

These are the 2 responses I got back from Lester. Enjoy. Sounds to me like you need to do a stringent pinout/continuity test for damaged wires.


I'm working with a garry Morrisson on this same question, will reply to you both as soon as I get an accurate answer from Engineering.

This p/n 30753 is a wire harness adapter that allowed a different pin connector to be used when Club Car changed the OBC interface in 2000.

It has no "intelligence" or electronic components, and would affect the system only if a wire was broke or a pin was corroded. If it looks intact and clean, the problem is elsewhere.

It may have something to do with the OBC, but I will tell you for fact those are controller to controller connections, OBCs do not have that type of connection. The hardness from the old T-style black Regen 1 controller would plug into the part where it mounts, the other end with the red weather seal is the plug for a Regen 2 controller.

Yes , this all sounds plausible. I was thinking also of a continuitly test. I have looked at connections and appear fine, but I will clean them up w/ some contact cleaner and go from there. Will post with results when I have some to work on it
