NO it will not take over voltage.
It won't go faster if you put 1000 amps to it.
If you run the stock motor on 48v it will run about 30% faster than it is now.


You could try a bigger control and a speed rewind from PQ? Call and ask them what they can do for you

Understood. Controller shopping as we speak.
I'm assuming the factory installed the bigger amp Curtis to offset the loss of torque with the high speed motor. Is this correct?

IN theory, yes. but I can't tell from the seat of the cart which ones have 275 or 350 amps in them?
