Default battery question

I have charged my 36 v. batteries with a 12 v. charger and the charger started working. I drove my golf cart for 20 min. and the next day I checked each battery with a voltmeter and the readings were-6.26,6.27,6.14,6.19,6.16,6.18 for a total of 37.2 volts. Does this seem normal?

Default Re: battery question

it does. Did you let the charge complete it's charge and shut off by itself?

I would plug the charger in and let it run again.

Here is a chart to help you with those numbers

welcome......thats a hard question to answer ..........a lot of depends like how old are batteries what are the specific gravity readings in each cell, did you do a complete charge......... 20 minutes of flat road or hills or???? those #,s are on the low side but like i said a lot of depends..........best advice would be to make sure all cable connections are clean and tight and do a few complete charges until charger shuts off after each charge ride the cart for 1/2 hour than charge again and after several times take readings after surface charge disapates and than after riding and post them......................
