Charger Fried - New 36v Charger Advice Requested!
My 1989 Lestronics II charger melted the small wires going to the timer board. I have a 1989 CC 36v resistor cart with 4 year old T-105+ batteries. The charging cycle had seemed inconsistent the last few times and then it wouldn't come on. Upon opening the charger I found the burnt wires.
Any suggestions for a new charger? I am thinking about the ProTech-C 3616. Will it work with this cart? Where do you mount it? Thanks! John |

there are so many different chargers and just as many opinions.......with the price of the aftermarket chargers now and the price of the OEM chargers they seem to be just about the same if thats the case i would go with OEM if its for cart use only some of the other bells and whistles you don,t need.......................

first try to get a new board from Lestronics if they cannot help, any charger is better than an OEM charger. remember if you GO OEM you will need a new OBC to control it.

its a 36 volt cart no worries about an OBC..............there are 20 year old OEM chargers out there working everyday...why would aftermarket be that much better? maybe i don,t get out enough.......................
