2003 ezgo stopped running
My daughter was driving my cart and it quit running. She said she heard a snapping noise when it quit. When it was towed back to my campsite the controller cover was very hot and had a burning smell. I checked voltages where I could and they were fine. Lights work, back up buzzer works. I have not removed the controller cover as of yet.
Any help would be appreciated |

welcome to BGW if your controller was that hot and has a burning smell than its toast......that could also account for the noise it made when it quit.....................

Please tell me that wasn't a PDS cart..... or if it was, they were knowledgeable enough to flip the switch to tow mode before they towed it.......

A PDS cart has a toggle switch on the dash for the directional selection....

Got new controller and solenoid. Controller foorprint not the same had to jerry rig something. My questio n now is the solenoid. How is it connected. There is no marked positve or negative.

A solenoid activation circuit is not polarity sensitive.
You should have the 2 black wires on one side and the 2 red wires on the other... The diode is polarity sensitive the banded end goes on the terminal with the red wires. |
