Default Issue W protech 48v on board charger?

Bought a Protech c48 15amp about 5 months ago after my 48 volt conversion. All was good until no charge about a week ago...
Anyone else using and or having problems with these units?

I think I read it only has a 90 day warranty

Not to thread-jack, but I'm having the same problem...

my details:

Charger is less than a month old in my case... (and is mounted on the wall in my shop, not in the cart, so absolutely no possibility of water issues)

Charger lights come on and shows 'Charge' for a second and then goes straight to 'Conditioning'... stays there for 4? hours and then changes over to 'Ready'...

my pack is currently at 50.6 volts, so I'm not sure if that's the issue or not of why it's not starting to go into charge mode...

However, I thought that I read that it will 'float' the pack at 54v... when I put my tester leads on the pack, I'm not seeing any difference in voltage....

I've tested continuity of the cables from the pack to the charger and all is good there.

I've not checked the fuse in the charger, but I can't see how it could have gotten blown.... I'm going to check that tonight.

anybody have any good suggestions?

Thanks!
-J

The manufacture has been very good about replacing any defective units. Contact your whomever you bought the product from for warranty service. It sounds like you both have a warranty issue.

Bought it new off E bay tried to save a couple bucks.... Probably bit me in the ***. Fan on the charger stopped working and pack voltage never pics up. Charged the batteries individually and the cart runs like normal. He only offers a 90 day warranty, sent an E mail to the manufacturer about the warranty. Will check the fuse tonight to see if its ok.
The green light stopped coming on, after tapping it got a light but nothing else.

Ya same here. I just ordered another one from Scottyb, should be here today. you have to ship the charger back to the manufacture, and they will check it out.

Check the 20 amp fuse inside cover that's on the charger output side... mine was blown... replaced it and it's working perfectly now...

Luckily... I caught it before it got below 85% charge.

jvanick right, your owners manual will have a trouble shooting section in it, go by that to check out your charger.
