Default wiring delimma. New Batteries = too short

I swapped out my trojan batteries with some pacer batteries and now im running into a small problem. I bought a 2gauge welding wire kit and now the new wires are to short. The trojan batteries had the positive and negatives catacorner from each other and the pacers have them both on top. I got it figured out to where i would only need one piece made but noone sells welding cable in this area. Would one piece of 2 gauge auto style cable make a difference? Maybe someone knows a better way to position the batteries but i cant figure it out. never was good with puzzles nor had the patience for them.
anyone run into this before?

Both terminals are on the same side of the batteries? I've never seen that on a cart battery. Any way you can post a picture of them?

My local golf cart shop carries everything needed to make the cables to any length and they are very reasonable. Maybe give yours a call if you only need one.

8 volts never crossed my mind since all he said was he put new batteries. So you went from 6 volts to 8 volts?

I might be barking up the wrong tree, but isn't the Pacer battery produced by Trojan and roughly equivalent to a T-605?
Same AH (210), but thinner plates and fewer recharge cycles.

Johnnie you are right. I just wanted to check the battery when i get home from work to be sure. The recharge cycles on a trojan are suppose to be 600 and the pacers are in the 400's.

Actually I was wrong.

The "Pacer" I was referring to is a 6V battery. I wasn't aware it came in 8V also.

I'm curious about AH @ 20 Hr Rate, Minutes @ 56A (since it is an 8V) and weight.
Is it similar to a T-860? (150AH @ 20hr, 90 Min @ 56A and 58 pounds)
