Replaced all 4 springs, why more power?
Ok very strange deal. I own a 36 volt 95 medalist. Today I replaced all 4 springs. I put the heavy duty in the back for my rear seat (bought from carts parts plus and very happy with their products and service).
Anyways, I have a large hill and normally going up it Scottyb's digital gauge reads between 35.1 and 34.8. For some reason after replacing all springs I was getting 35.4 - 35.6. That is a pretty large difference.. Any ideas??? Reasons???? I am very happy with the results. The springs actually raised the front 1/2'" and gave me 2" more in the back. |

Stiff new springs equal more jounce and rebound. More jounce and rebound equal more rocking motion. More rocking motion equals better mixing of battery electrolyte equals a hair more voltage?

I hired the neighbor kid to jump up and down on the back of mine while I'm driving.

Well, it was my best guess. Maybe his batteries are new and are just starting to hit their stride. I dunno?
