42 t0 48 volt
can I just add 1 new battery to a 42 volt western to make it 48 volt. I have an on board delta quiq 4818 charger and I hope it will be ok for 48 volts,if so maybe all I'll have to do is add 1 more battery since I have 7 brand new ones sitting here.

There are other items to consider:
Charger Controller Solenoid Diode and resistor The motor would be fine however. |

If so, it has been modified to charge a 42V battery pack and won't charge a 48V battery pack. My 42V DPI charger is basically a 48V DPI charger with a different output board, so all I have to do to go to 48V is replace the output board, but I don't know if the same is true for Delta-Q What are the voltage specs on your controller and solenoid? You might luck out on the controller, but probably not on the solenoid. |

Re: 42 t0 48 volt
Decided against it, even though the controller and solenoid would work, I feel it would be too cramped and too heavy on the drivers side witch I feel is too heavy on that side as it is. The drivers side is the only place I could find to add the extra battery. Thanks for the help anyway, hope I didn,t waste your time for nothing.
