The adhesive is Loctite 4212 and is available from www.strobelssupply.com in a .7 oz tube at $27.49

Blue loktite. Like $5 for a tube from an auto parts store.
Or you can use a dab of liquid nails if you have that available.

Yes, That's basically what loktite is.
The point is only to hold the guide ring from spinning or moving in the end of the armature coupler so the splines will stay lined up.

I have used loctite in the past blue regularly cause it doesn't require you to heat it up to remove it. I have a funny noise rattle at certain speed so it has to be this splines connected to the input shaft. hence replacing the ring guide
