ezgo controller swap
I have an older Ezgo 36 volt series cart , I think it is early 90s and I would like to swap the controller with the 6 pin connector to a Curtis 2pin 400 amp controller. Does anyone know if the throttle will work or will I need to change it ?

Re: ezgo controller swap
With a 6-pin connector, it sounds like you have a Curtis 1206 controller, which was used in Medalist and TXT carts with Series wound motors and an ITS throttle system.
I'm not familiar with any Curtis controller that only has 2 pins, but the Curtis 1204 and 1205 controllers used in EZGO series drive carts had either ITS or 0 to 5K Potentiometer throttles, so you will have to identify what type throttle input the controller has to answer your question. Of course, it would be best/easiest to get a controller whose throttle input matches the type that already exists in the cart. |
