How do you figure? All I have heard is that the #4 setting does not increase torque. Speed is one thing but not torque.

One CC dealer even told me I would miss some if I switched to 4.

Its a curtis controller but it says 24 - 36 v. I think its the batteries personally. Some of the batteries are bulging on the sides and are very oxidized inside on the lead plates.

Here is my controller and motor.

Scottyb i looked on your oline store and was wondering what package would be best for my cart. its gonna be a neigborhood cart, has 22in tires, dont have rear seat yet but will. Just want to be able to get out of a ditch if i have to drive down and up one. but typically be a flatlander cart with trails.

Scottyb the cart is in the thread titled "First Thing I Need"

Also its a Vglide im guessing. it has a box and in it when the gas is pushed moves a arm up a serier of 5 or 6 copper plates to tell it the speed. Good or bad? Copper looks clean as does inside the box.

My batteries are 6v and are all reading anywhere from 6.29 to 6.78. That sound correct?

No they should all be the same voltage within a few hundred of a volt. A half volt difference could mean 40% lose of capacity .
