Default Slow Going Up Hills

Just purchased a 2006 Club Car Precedent with Trojan [black top] 2009 batteries. Had the code 4 installed thru Club Car. It runs nice and fast on level roads but when I go up hills [live in the mountains of western N.C.] it slows down. When I reach level roads again, it speeds up to normal.

Question: Would changing the speed code from 3 to 4 reduce the ability for the cart to accelerate uphills at a faster rate?

thanks,
Burt

Default Re: Slow Going Up Hills

I have two Precedents with lift kits and big tires. One is stock controller and Speed Code 4 and the other is a 500 amp aftermarket controller. They both slow down going up hills, just no way around it. But the one with the aftermarket controller has much better torque and climbs hills better. I am not sure you will see a noticeable difference in torque by going back to speed code three.
