EZ Go 2+2 Sport -- white smoke from tailpipe after flipping

I have a brand new gas Ez Go Sport 2 + 2 that I bought from a local golf cart vendor. It had some accessories added to it, big wheels brushgaurds, etc. We've been using it and it had run great for about 4 weekends. Then my son found the governor and was messing with it a little. It was at about 1/4 of the way tightened (low end) and he pushed it to 1/2 way. Then he took it out for a spin in the park, and lost traction on some gravel and flipped it. Now there is white smoke and a weird smell coming from the back of the golf cart. I have not let it rest yet to see if it still smokes. I believe it was only flipped for a short amount of time.
