EZGO Lithium RXV Elite Speed Adjustment

My neighbor and I just got the new EZGO Lithium Elite with the Samsung DI service pack (it's a lease thru our course). He has the Curtis 1311 handheld, however it looks like they changed the port on these to plug in. My goal would be to unlock the "freedom" mode on speed (assuming it still exists).

So couple questions:
1. Does the Curtis still work on these new carts?
2. If yes anyone know where to get a cable?
3. If above doesn't work, advice on best way to open up freedom mode?

My local dealer told me that that battery needs to be re-balanced once a year. I wonder if that is the port they plug it into to accomplish this?

That is the diagnostic port. Has nothing to do with balancing. Handheld programmer cannot unlock freedom mode. Freedom mode unlock key is needed. Dealer has it. Also see thread on cheap Rxv speed for possible rental of unlock key. It is not a device that is permanently installed, just plug it in once & freedom mode is permanently enabled. The handheld will be useful to set the max speed of 19.5 (freedom mode defaults to 17 mph).

Called ez go, j.d in customer service (who's excellent by the way) gave me part number for converter cable to go between the controller and the port on cart. Just came in today, turns out freedom mode is able to be enabled on/off on these new elites from the controller and no passkey needed, so a couple setting adjustments and the cart is now going 19.5mph, while I was in there adjusted the acceleration time way down (what a difference out of the hole) as well turned up the reverse speed. Fun little cart now. Thanks for your help to a newbie.

Wait a minute, please unconfuse me here.

You have a cable that goes from the cart controller, to the cart "port"?

If that is the case, why wouldn't this already been done in the original wire harness?

You have some sort of cable that basiclly jumpers the port, back to the controller?

Can you post a picture and / or part number of this?

No he bought a cable that hooks up to the port on one end and the programmer on the other. I believe that's what he is talking about.

Sorry to bring up an old thread - does anyone have the part number for this adapter?
