It doesn't actually GO 55mph. It's simply set to that for testing purposes. I don't want to go faster than 45. However, this is regularly driven on a 35mph road, so it being able to go 40mph is very beneficial to me.

Regardless, any help instead of judgment is welcome.

As for the 24" tire thing, I switched it to 22" and saved it, just forgot to screenshot it after. It didn't make a difference in the speed though.

Do I have the battery setup correctly?

It is 4 Eagle Batteries from Bigbattery.com

Thanks.

Your Bigbattery Eagle batteries provides a continous discharge rate of 80amp (180amp/ 6 sec), that could be the limiting factor. I'd guess, a heavy cart at higher speed will draw more. You should contact Navitas, asking for the best performance settings.

Btw 55 mph with a golfcart would be beyond of my imagination...
Good tires, brakes, and seatbelts help a lot. I would never want to go faster than 40.

Honestly, on one side i like the thrill going fast with a cart, designed for much slower speeds. On the other side, i'm impressed of something like a NCAP crashtest ( Clubcar, 30 mph and the dummy was belted...

Btw: Official LSV's ( Low Speed Vehicles ) needs seatbelts, security glass windshields with wiper and 4-wheel hydraulic brakes. Max speed allowed: 25 mph!

And people race cars too, this is all very off topic.

Ok... on topic, as said earlier, get in contact with Navitas. A technican could guide you through the app settings to your needs.

The speed police on this forum are getting real annoying. If someone asks a question, don't berate them for it. If nothing to help the OP then move on.

OP: I am thinking discharge rate on your batteries is an issue.

Thank you.

I have a max discharge rate of 720A and a continuous of 320A. You can't actually get much better than that I don't think.

I wonder if cables or selenoid could be holding it back? Or raw motor rpm?

Maybe I need to change the gear ratio entirely?
