You can lower 48v to anything below 32v easily enough with a resistor and zener diode.

Hey Upstater, I'm in the Lowcountry and happy to help!

I have several relays that would work well for you I'm happy to give, but they are 8-32V trigger, so it would be better to get something with a 36-60V energizer coil.

so I believe I have a work around for my issue with the snubber and a power filter between the solenoid and power source.
