Default fixing G1 Crank Seals with Marvel Mystery Oil

I picked up a G1 on that I have been working on for about a week now, no motor work yet because one of the rear hubs is frozen... but I am worried about the crank seals due to the large amount of oily crap build up on the block. My father mentioned using Marvel Mystery Oil in the crank case to seal up the crank seals. I have never heard of the method then again he has been working on engines for 30+ years. So, is it a go or no go?

Oil around the block is a sure sign that you need crankcase seals. I do not recommend putting marvel oil in the crankcase as the motor requires 2 cycle oil and I believe you would burn up the bearings!

Would I have to take the engine out of the cart to replace them?
