![]() Steve: If I understand correctly Stealth originally retrofitted the Club Cars and eventually made their own frames or farmed out the construction. Not sure that is accurate but I did read it on the interwebs. Everything I have seen id's it as a CC, the F-n-R switch, controller and such match up to the CC models. No plate inside the console/dash area like the CCs though. I am hoping that if they are not CC that they are close enough that I can learn enough from the CC owers hear to maintain, service and repair.
StreetBu: That was what I was hoping to hear. Is it a pretty simple repair requiring minimal tools. I have a lightweight floor jack, jack stands, socket sets etc.. but nowhere near a full garage of tools. Anywhere you could direct me for instruction of removal and replacement? Is it as simple as putting it on stands and removing the bottom bolt? Or is a bunch of heavy parts gonna pin me down until the wife finds time in her schedule to get me out? Do yall think it would be worth the $ to purchase a CC manual? If so, any recomendations? Im still trying to find all the grease zerts, seems like there should be more than Im finding. Thanks again for the help, I would really like to be more self sufficient with this. |

![]() Yes just remove the bottom bolt and them push the shock up. Very simple. I don't even think you need to jack it up.
I don't think a CC manual is going to do you much good. |

![]() Stealth Manufacturing, LLC went out of business in February 2013. An assignment that is very much like a bankruptcy was then executed.
I do not own Stealth Manufacturing, LLC. |

![]() ![]() Anyone found a good way to protect these things any better? |

![]() I think I have the parts and tools I need to change out my cv boot and plan on breaking into it one evening this week or this weekend. I got a boot, ring clamps and grease and also picked up a pair of pliers for removal of any retention rings.
My plan, basically, is to start breaking it down, until I run into something that I may not be able to put back together. At that point I will take pictures to post here and plead for advice. I am assuming I need to put on jackstands, remove wheel, tie-rod and shock from the hub. Hopefully the shaft will slide out from the hub and the FWD gear box. I am sure there are bearings on the shaft, should these be cleaned and regreased? Should I plan on replacing anything else while I have it broken down to this degree? Is there anything that I should inspect while broken down? Any advice or constructive critisism would be appreciated, dave |

![]() You should be able to remove the wheel and disconnect the lower controlled arm from shock tower. At that point the whole assembly should "swing" out enough to replace the boot. The shaft should slide out of the front differential

![]() Thanks,
Does that mean I will not have to disconnect the tie-rod? Anything to check out or change out while I have it apart? I know I sound ignorant, but this is a new hobby for me. My primary hobby is homebrewing, hopefully they will compliment each other ![]() dave |

![]() Yeah you should be able to leave it. Just check for any damage or cracks in anything.

![]() I had a 700 Polaris that had plastic pieces on each C/V joint, they sort of looked like hand protectors for handle bars. You may be able to make something work.
