I noticed after I wrote that that the heat marks were even around. Appears to be heat treating.

Well I got it back together and McDave your advice about a small room was not only heeded but needed and I will go even further to say that you have to talk really kind or really mean while holding your mouth just right! I just had to shape it as well as I could ( I found a peice of a copper ground rod was about the right size to use to help maintain the shape. Stretches it back out when you put it in the channel but if you can get it close enough the knuckle kinda compresses it down when you slide it on. Im sure this is remedial for you guys but maybe theres a few boneheads out there that can learn from my mistakes!

Sunoco, I have tried to attach a pic of the ring, let me know if you have any as I will prob have a need in the future.

I also found a ser # on the front diff. I am assuming this is an 4X4 kit that stealth used so if anyone can ID it I would appreciate it, i would like to be abe to source repair parts if needed in the future. Pic attached.

The heat marks troubled me a bit but what really freaked me out was where it looked like it had been beat on. WOW! I am hoping since its on the outside it has no affect but could that be causing a slight rubbing or occasional popping sound? Should the places that look a little rusted be sanded a little bit or would that be a bad idea?

Many Thanks Guys, Not real sure where I would be with this thing if I had not stumbled upon this forum. I am beginning to get a little confidence with it.

Sunoco, have you given any thought to making & marketing a "generic" electrical diagram for the stealth? I would be interested in purchasing one.
