I have found that an impact on the puller works best. You could also try putting some pressure on the puller, and then smack the flywheel with a hammer.

Agreed. You can wrestle with it for hours or pop it right off with an impact.

I've tried but it popped the first of the two screw holes I'm on my last two before I have to tap and get bigger bolts I see the keyway should just Pop off but don't lol had a 3 jaw and it stopped as it was starting to warp so back to bolt puller I'm just worried there something I'm not seeing ? Like maybe I should disassemble the other side and pop the piston out maybe the cam would pop out the other side without case in place

I have an 84’ and it had bad engine seals. Removed it form the cart and heated the fly wheel with a propane torch. While heating I hit it with a rubber mallet and after about ten minutes it came loose. Be careful to not overheat because there is a stater directly behind it. To help I also spayed penetrating fluid into the holes in the flywheel and around it. Glad to help
