Alright I still need to get the new spark plug. But I came home removed the carb and found a piece of some kind of material in it not sure what is was almost looked like a rusty seal.but after cleaning the carb the cart still turns over but wont fire. It doesn't even make an attempt to fire. Is there something I'm overlooking or just plain missing.
I am hoping that maybe its just that it needs a new plug.

Your exhaust pipe and muffler are missing.

The wiring from the solenoid to the battery, and starter doesn't look right. Take some better pictures of that area.

I'll take pictures when I get home. Where does the exhaust hook at on the motor I have what I am guessing is the air filter and filter box.

See that big empty spot next to the gas tank? That is where the muffler is supposed to go. A pipe goes between the muffler, and the bottom of the engine. If you use a mirror, or cell phone, you will see an open hole underneath. Look inside the hole, and turn the engine over by hand. You will see the piston moving up, and down. Make sure that there are no square holes in the side of the piston. We may as well get that out of the way right now.

If you can find a muffler, and pipe, they will be expensive. Hopefully somebody in the classified section can help you out with that. Don't run the engine without, an exhaust.

It looks like somebody added a cutoff switch in the cable between the battery, and solenoid. It won't hurt anything, but it isn't stock.

You are also missing a plate between the manifold, and the carburetor that holds the choke cable. See my picture.

Thankyou very much i did find the exhaust port upon further inspection. I am guessing i need the exhaust and muffler both. Are there any aftermarket exhaust that you know of. I still have not been able to get it to fire it turns over and has gas but have not been able to get any farther yet

Cart around would you happen to have a picture of the exhaust system. I found a muffler but i think i still need a pipe that connect the exhaust to the motor im not sure though.

You definitely need the pipe between the muffler, and engine.

The three most important things you need to do first are....

Remove the spark plug, and hold it against the engine to check for spark while cranking.

Do a compression test. 120 psi is new. You would be happy down to 100, and maybe squeak down to 95.

While the plug is out, turn the engine over by hand, and look at the side of the piston. It's very important that there are no square holes visible in the side of the piston.

Once you are satisfied with all three, then you can think about buying parts. I honestly hope that you didn't pay more than 50 bucks for the entire cart. The parts you need are going to be expensive, and cost more than what the cart is worth.

We haven't even talked about crankshaft seals yet...........

EDIT. vintage golf cart parts has your muffler available for $147. I didn't find the pipe yet. We don't link to them because they are not a sponsor.
