Instructions needed on installing a new motor
Just received my new D&D motor and was wondering how hard it was to install. Is it pretty much self explanatory? The old motor is already gone so I cant see how it was in place and connected. Is there any instructions or illustrations or videos on here showing a motor install? Thanks

Re: Instructions needed on installing a new motor
Do you know what kind of cart it is?
Do you have the cables marked for this. The motor just slips in place and held with 3-7/16" bolts one on top of housing and one each @ 9:00 and 3:00 on the sides of the housing. Then you hook up the motor cables. 4 of them. These stickes should help. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-diagrams.html |

Re: Instructions needed on installing a new motor
Thanks Andy. Its a 05 PDS 36v. Have an Alltrax 400dcx controller. Have the cable and software to program it after I get the motor in. Any suggestions on programming a PDS? Thanks

Re: Instructions needed on installing a new motor
Andy...bolted the motor right in and wired it up no problem. Took it out for a test run...did pretty good. I can already tell it has more torque just like it is. Stock tires was doing around 22-23 mph. Havent programmed the Alltrax yet....thats coming up and a lift with larger tires. I'll let ya know what happens.

Re: Instructions needed on installing a new motor
I have programed series controllers but never messed with a PDS programable one. Should be about the same I would think. 22-23 mph out of the box on stock wheels that's great. My 04 PDS with stock controller and 23" tires runs 23 MPH.
