So it is unlikely that this charger ever charged these batteries??? Or just flat impossible.

ANOTHER stupid question............. can a 48V cart run on 36volts with no changes?

Yes and yes I have seen the infamous 6 volt batteries in 48v cart...

The charger cooks the crap out of the batteries. It is hard on the batteries. If caught early the batteries can be salvaged to a 36v cart or 2 more can be added to the cart to make up the 48v needed.

yes scotty is right it can charge them it just ruins them quite fast..........i have also seen 6 volts in a 48 volt cart but again nothing ever works right.......................

I am surprised that there is not a solenoid or something that just wont work with 36 in a 48 or vice versa.

Well thanks guys!

I am kinda thinking I may just bail out on this one and buy something different. I would assume that if I sell it honest it would still be worth 600 bucks or so.

I will update if I try and save or buy something else.
