the diode was on correct but it will flow power each way can i run without it to test until i get a new one and the small red wire still has ground on it not sure why

Electric vehicle is a different animal alright, you can run testing without the diode and resistor. Often when the diode goes out (sometimes due to reverse installation) the micro switches are the first thing to fry... so check them all on the F&R and in the V-glide if you have one? I think you do... You got a short there someplace?

i think my controller is bad i unhooked it and tested the motor it runs as it should with the controller unhooked from it but will not run when the controller is hooked up to the motor
so far i found two bad microswitches and the diode and the controller i hope thats it is there any test for the controller i can do
