Default What's the best way?

What's the cheapest and easiest way to get more speed out of my 03 club car ds? I seen the "speedylink" but i don't see how that works. Then I can upgrade to a plum quick motor but I don't really have a few hundred to do that. Is there a more affordable way to get more speed out of it?

I'm not a sparky but, I hear upgrading the guage of the wires will help out a couple miles an hour...

I think so. Heavier guage cables. Maybe one of the electric cart guys will chime in here!

so its kind of like speaker wires in a truck if you have subwoofers in it.. the heavier guage wire keeps your speakers from burning up and it lets it hit harder.. so wonder if i could go with 0 or 2 guage wires on the batteries.. but i wonder if thats all the wires id have to change,or would changing the wires hurt any other wires on the cart

OK, first, new high quality cables will only help if your existing cables are shot. We install them to optimize the system, eliminate electrical bottlenecks, and prepare for future upgrades.

As for the SpeedyLink product, that only works on certain models and drive systems of Club Car carts. I'm not a CC guy, but I do know what I posted is accurate.

there is no real cheap way to gain speedm theres nothing wrong with upgrading cables but you have to do all cables in cart not just battery cables, if you want any sort of noticable speed increase you need, cables, motor and controller.................................
