Re: Club Car Battery Cables
Second post on this brilliant forum. Got a set of batteries from local CC dealer 4 months ago plus new leads. Maintained and cleaned regularly, however have started to see "sweating" from a few lugs (crimped lugs) with the nickel ? coating dissapearing. Down to copper base...Cart is a 2003 DS. Have a digital meter and batteries are still strong after charge ~ 51.0v. Performance is great as we only use for for golf. Q... should I be looking at changing cables to a soldered set before some real problems set in ?. Does Scottyb sell to Aussie customers. Regards to all and thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Club Car Battery Cables
Thanks Scotty, I will contact you via your Website tomorrow. BTW, per my question re the CC cables sweating at the lugs and losing the plating, is this a common occurance, or is it the electrolyte/residue on the battery case tops. Have a watering system in place and starting to have my doubts about the sealing properties during the charge cycle as sometimes there is a bit of overflow. Thinking I may toss it out and go back to the original cap seal plugs. Thanks in advance again.

Re: Club Car Battery Cables
The batteries must vent during recharge. If they are over full they will push water out the vents.
Please contact me by email for international shipping rates before buying on the website. Thank you cartsunlimited@huhges.net |
